Last week, I read an interesting post on Lifehacker about a father teaching his children about using computers by starting with the very basics. When I say basics, I mean really the basics. The author installed Debian without any GUI and showed his kids how to use the command line. While it’s a cool example of passing along his love of computers to his children (they were 2 and 5 at the time) I think I would start with something a bit less archaic.
That aside, it’s a neat post. The original was from way back in June and can be found here. The re-post to Lifehacker was from just last week.
